FAQ
Are bartenders included in the package prices?
Yes, for all events over 50 guests, one bartender is included for every 75 guests. For events under 50 guests we charge $100.00 per bartender for a three hour event and $17.00 each additional hour.
What is in included in the bar package price?
Our bar packages include all liquor, beer, wine, bartenders, mixers, ice, bar tables with any color linens, garnishes, and plastic cups. For complete brand selections (link to bar packages). Sales tax is the only missing fee in the bar package prices. Glassware and gratuity are optional. If you would like to get a glassware quote (link to glassware quote).
Are we fully insured?
Yes. We carry a $1,000,000 liquor liability insurance policy for all events that we provide and serve alcohol. We can add you or your event venue as an additional insured for no additional fee.
Do I get to keep the additional alcohol after the party?
No. We guarantee not to run out of alcohol at your event, therefore we will always have alcohol left over at your event. We cannot leave alcohol at an event because it would void our insurance policy.
Can I provide my own liquor?
Yes, but there are several reasons why we would discourage you from providing your own liquor.
- The #1 reason we would discourage you from providing your own liquor is that our insurance would not cover the event if anyone except Snyder Event Services is providing the alcohol.
- Liquor stores in South Carolina close at 7:00pm. If you provide your own liquor and we run out of vodka or bourbon after 7:00pm there is nothing we can do.
- The inconvenience of having to bring all the alcohol to the event and then being responsible to take open liquor and remaining alcohol after the event.
- When it comes down to it, you just don’t save that much money.
How many bartenders do I need?
We suggest 1 bartender for every 75 guest. This formula works for your basic bar package. If you are having multiple bar locations and/or passed drinks or a champagne toast you may want to go as high as 1 bartender for every 50 guest.
What if the party extends past the contracted time?
Of course we would like to know ahead of time if your event may extend longer than the scheduled time for inventory and scheduling purposes. However, we understand that sometimes your guests and yourself are having a good time and you don’t want the party to end. Our trained staff knows that every event may extend and they are always prepared. Every event has at least one lead bartender, let he or she know and they will take care of it from there. The fee to extend your event is $2.00 per person per hour based on the full bar package price, and the original head count.
Am I responsible for tipping the bartenders at the end of the night?
Gratuity is not included in the contract and is not necessary, but always appreciated and can be handled a couple of different ways. Gratuity can be added to your invoice and we will cut a check for each bartender or you can give cash tips to each bartender at the event.
Will there be tip jars at my event?
No. It is Snyder’s policy to never display tip jars unless otherwise specified.
What happens if we run out of product?
Snyder Party Rental is open 24 hours on most days and has a bar rep. on call 24/7. If there is a threat of running out something our lead bartenders will contact the rental dept and have it delivered as soon as possible.
How early will the bartenders arrive before my event?
The bartenders arrive two hours prior to the start of all full bar service events.
Does the bar package come with glassware?
Disposable cups are included and glassware is available for rental (Snyder Rentals).
Are the bar tables and linens included in the package price?
Yes, there is no additional fee for multiple bar locations within reason. Also, you can choose any available color in our standard solid linens for all your bar locations.
What do the bartenders wear?
The bartender attire options are formal, casual, or all black. Formal attire consist of a white long sleeve button down shirt with black neck tie and black pants. Casual attire is khaki pants and a white polo golf style shirt. All black attire consist of black button down or polo and black pants. Of course if you want to provide anything else for the bartenders to wear, we’ll play along!
What do the bars look like?
The bar locations that we provide are either 6ft or 8ft in long, elevated table draped to the floor with linen. To elevate the bar we place crates on either end of the front of the table and put a 18” bar elevation on the crates. Then, we cover the bar elevation table with linen. It creates an approx. 42” tall bar on the front side while the bartenders work off the 30” high table on the back side. (pic of an elevated bar)
